I'm using Trello. I think it's similar to Asana :-)

It is! One of my clients uses Trello and it’s fab. I think having some sort of system or platform that you can use to organise your work/ schedule/ to-do list is so important.

I am using Notion but it is a learning curve :)

I’ve heard great things about Notion, although I’ve never used it myself ☺️

I flick between Trello and Asana - and dabble in Notion too. I wish I could settle on one but I always feel as though I'm yet to find the perfect setup.

The little flying unicorns in Asana when you complete a task are so much fun though.

With Asana I always wonder if there is a 'lite' option - as it's just me I never need to delegate anything or assign tasks to anyone other than me. Is there a way to streamline this do you know?

Yes! I know exactly what you mean. Asana has lots of features and I don’t use probably 80% of them. I just use it to add my tasks and then tick them off. A lite option would be brilliant though! I don’t think there’s a way to change the features, it’s just a matter of not using them 😬

Yes you can’t customise features or delete them but if you’re on the free plan, then you have the most basic features. It gets more exciting when you have various work streams in there and you can apply automations doing stuff for you 😇 sometimes it’s worth thinking about our work beyond a todo list then the features make more sense

Hi Louise I work at asana so I have lots of opinions and am of course obsessed with the tool and its capabilities.

I see notion more as a reference tool vs asana more as a work management tool. And you’re right it’s made to delegate and collaborate across teams. It’s so quick and easy to use vs notion has lots of customisable options but people waste so much time making pretty templates 😅

You can have different views in Asana and there’s a few fun things on the roadmap for later in the year that one woman businesses will love too 🤭 i do understand though when people find asana too much when they work by themselves

That's so interesting, thanks for taking the time to respond. I really appreciate it

Yes, a sole trader/ small business option would work fab I think! Nothing too complex (like Notion where I'd spend my time faffing with design), but something simple and with much less options would be fantastic 🤩

I’ll pass on the customer feedback ;)

Yay this makes my heart sing Sophie. I work at Asana supporting our largest customers in Europe driving digital transformation. I enjoy the strategic exchange coaching executives transform the way their teams work and collaborate and see how impactful it is for the users.

I don’t write about my day job much on here more about my other “private”passions that I keep separate for now.

I could go on about Asana vs other tools forever haha but I’ll spare you from that. Always happy to chat all things managing your work in a mindful way though should anyone be interested 🙃

Carmen, this is amazing! I'd love to chat to you more about Asana and mindful working. Maybe we could arrange a chat in the near future? I'm sure lots of people here would find it interesting! 🥰

Yesss absolutely I have some exciting stuff in the plans (just not enough time working full time).

Please do dm me and we can find some time to chat and take it from there. 🥰 would love to hear your perspective as a VA as well!

I worked in corporate wellbeing before so combining the two with my passion for women & business is what I’m slowly building on the side 😇
